IN NORTHERN GERMANY. KAISER WITNESSING THE OPERATIONS.

■} Telegraph — Pre«» AswclnUon.-.Cesyrltlrt BERLIN, 11th September. A force of 110,000 men is taking part in the army manoeuvres, which oegin to-day. The Kaieet has arrived to witness the operations. Prince Fried rich Leopold of Prussia commands one army, and Feild-Marshal yon der Goltfc the other. The scene of the manoeuvres is the forest country on the borders of Mack* lenburg and Pomeranian. It includes the chain of lakes where Murat isolated and overwhelmed the retreating Prussians in 1806 after the battle of Jena. The supplies are being delivered in five-ton motor-lorries travelling at a speed of twenty miles an hour. Four aeroplanes are with each army, and are maimed by a pilot and an observer,

According to accounts published recently in Home papers, GeTmany|s great annual military manoeuvres this y«ar are to be more magnificent than ever, with Berlin as the centre, and many notable foreigners, including the Prince of Wales, as spectators. Half the army, comprising the second and ninth army corps and a cavalry division, will be considered to have landed on the Mecklenburg coast, between Lubeck and Stettin, and lo be i forging their way through Neustrelitz in an attack on the capital. In defence of Berlin will be the Corps of Guards, a picked cavalry division, and nearly another army corps of reservists, called out for the occasion. Most of the country to be covered by the armies of the war lord is hilly snd well wooded. It is very beautiful for the nature lover and full of possibilities for the strategist.
