A match between teams representing th« Auckland and Petone Workshops supplied the curta-in-raiser to the big match. Miller scored first try for Petone, Whitley converting. E. Ryan ran. over subsequently, arid Calcinai followed, neither being converted. Power scored for Auckland, th© extra points being added. Half-time finished wifh the score : Petone 14, Nttnn scoring, to Auckland's 5. Shortly after resumption Hill fielded the ball well, and ran over at the corner. Ryan concerted. Pe* tone 19, Auckland 5.' An Auckland shot from a mark hit the post. Per* kineon made Petone's score 22, and Mil* Jer sent it np three. Ryan adding th© extras— fctone 27, Auckland 5, Millar scored again, the try being un-converted-—Petone 3P, Auckland 5. The game etided at this. Mr. 13. Tregear was referee.
