The Commie and Tourists' Divi&ion of the department of Agriculture, Commerce, and TottTOte h*e received the following cablegram from the High Commiadoner for New Zealand, dated London, 9th September, 1911. Supplies will be^ moderate. , Canterbury, 4d per lb; North Island, 3|d. Latnb.— 'The market is weaker, though not actujJly lower. C»nt€rbury, 5^3 j other than Canterbury, Sd per lb. Argentina, 4|d per lb. Be6f.«*The market has advanced. Stocks of N<iw Ze*land beef on hand are light. New Zealand hind«, 3ld; fores, 2£d pei lb. Butter.— The market j« firm, and there is a good demfcnd. Supplies *re likely to fall off. Australian, 120 b; Danish, 132 a; Siberian, 116s per cwt. Ch«*ee.— The m*rket remain* firm. Supplies of English cheese will b& •hort on account of the dry w«ather. New Z#alafid Aeese, 66s per cwt. Heffip.— The market is lifeless. Quotations are nominal. New Zealand good fair spot, per ton, £19 10s ; fair grade, £18 ss ; fair current Manila, £20. Forward ehipmenfc^-New Zealand good -fair, pef ion, £20 ; fair grade, £18 f os ; f air current Manila, £20 Se. The output from Ma nil* for the week wa« 25,000 bales.
