[Adam Rolknd Rainy, M.P. for Kilmarnoch Burghs, was the son of the late Presbyterian t leader, Principal Rainy. He wa« born at Glasgow in 1862, was educated at the Edinburgh Academy and the University of Edin-' burgh, and subsequently at Berlin &nd Vienna, and was by profession a surgeonoculist. Dr. Rainy lived fer a tim« in Australia and New Zealand. H# was first elected for Kilmamoch Burghe in 1906.} *
