BOWLING AND TENNIS.

ANNUAL MEETING Of HUTT CLUB. the ninth annual meeting of the Lower Hutt Bowling" and Tennis Club, held at the local Town Hall Buildings last evening, was attended by over 50 memberis. The president of the club (Mr. (Jr. Allport) occupied tho chaiv. The report, as already published in The Post, was adopted, as was the balancesheet, which shows a debit balance of £94 13s 7d, covered by an overdraft on the bank. The assets exceed the liabilities by £1495 11s 7d. . Mr. W. Callendcr said he thought some improvement, wan necessary: the position of accounts was not satisfactory. Tho ground committee reported that a croquet lawn Was being prepared, and in addition it was intended to utilise ono of the grass tennis courts for this game. The meeting decided to make (he fees the same as those ruling in the tennis department. During tho discussion on this matter, it was stated incidentally that tennis players wero taking very little interest in the club.
