LODGE MEETING.

At the fortnightly meeting of Court Robin Hood, 4428, Brb. Webster, C.R., presided. The half-yearly balance-sheet wad read, showing the court to be progressing both financially and otherwise. Bro Needham, retiring C.R., was pre« eented with a framed certificate and P.C.R. neok ribbon 'by P.C.R. Bro. Jackson, A sum of money was granted for the purpose of erecting a memorial to the la,te Bro. J, T. Webber. The Hope of Petone Lodge' of Good Templars held its weekly session in the Ranfurly Hall, Petone, on Wednesday. Bro.' T> Townsend, C.T., presided. There was a large attendance of members and several visitors from Ashburton and Wellington. Two new member* were initiated and several proposed for nexb week. It was decided to start a iiew competition next week for obtaining iiew members, and two prizes' are to 1 be given. A basket party is to be held on Friday night and a rally of all members is to take place for the start of the new quarter next week. The harmony committee submitted a-fiist-class programme for the new quarter, which made ample provision, for the enertainment of members. The programme was adopted. The election of officers for the ensuing term took place and 1 resulted as follows :— •C.T., Bro. T. Townsend j V.T., Sis. Job 5 sec, Bro, Montgomery; fin. sec, Sis. Hooper} treasurer, Bio. jßerskke; chap., Sis. Moore; mar., Bro. Robertson; guard, Bro. Te Tau; sent., Bro, Jenkins; P.C.T., Sis. Bjioumgreen ; D.M., Sis. E. Smith; pianist, Sis. Bain; G.D., Bro. J. Rose. The monthly meeting of the Wellington District Lodge, No. 5, 1.0. G.T., was held in the Rechabite Hall, Mannerastreet. Bro. G^ Price. D.C.T. presided. There was a. fair attendance of members and delegates present. The reports of delegate*. D.C.T. and D.E.S. were received, i'he latter officer at the request of the executive brought forward a scheme on the subject of open meetings, which waa adopted, and the District Sec i'efcary was instructed to write to all sublodges asking for their co-operation. The resignation of Sister Atkinson, District Chaplain, was received with regret. Greetings from New South Wales and Christchurch Lodges were received and reciprocated. ■
