A NARROW ESCAPE.
' ' ♦ A man named John M'Arthur, aged forty, unmarried, residing at No. °1, .Walter-street, had a narrow escape from death this morning. He was employed by Messrs. J. and A. Wilson, .the; contractors for the additions to the General Post Office, aJid v/a« knocked off a. staging at the top of the building . (through the breaking of a rope which •,was being used to hoist a. stringer. Although he fell a considerable distance he escaped with some bad cute on the iace and head, an ' injury to his Shoulders, some bruises on "the body, and a general shaking. He was removed to the Hospital.
