A big meeting of business men decided to-night nob to recogniso th« Holiday Association's decision to observe the King's Birthday on Saturday, but to close their premises on Monday. INVERCARGILL, 29th May. There has been considerable controversy locally in regard to the observance of the King's Birthday, but at a meeting of tho Retailers' Society 10-night ifc was decided to observe- Saturday, so that on that day all classes of the Invercargill community will celebrate.
