Upon more than one occasion, I met tha debtor in the etreete ot Wellington and informed him that 1 dwsired to serve him with the documents, and arranged that he should call at the office for the purpose of being served with the same,' bat ho did not call at & time when ther»ervice could be effected. I informed tha debtor that proceedings in bankruptcy were pending and aeked hinv to «nabla mo to serve him with the necessary docu. monta with as little publicity as ■possible, and he promised to call at tho office for the earn©. He called with hi* solicitor, Mr, Perry, within two days after the service of Iho bankruptcy notice, but 1 have not seen him since.; . . I have had a constant lookout kept for the debtor by persons constantly about the streets and hotels of the city of Wellington, who know him intimately, but my informants state that they hava not seen him sinco tho date of such eejrykfr."
