THE STRANDED STEAMER BOVERIC.
[BY TELEGRAPH — PKSSS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, 19 th April. News from Tonga by the Tofua to-day states that the Howard Smith steamer Boveric, which went ashore on a reef at Nukualofa about a fortnight ago, came off under her own steam, and alter examination by divers from H.M.S. Encounter, which was there with a portion of the scientific party who had gone lo view the edipss at Vavau, it was decided to. continue tho voyage to San Francisco in company with the steamer Oceano. which is under charier to the same company. The Boveric was compelled to jettison 900 tons of coal before she ;:ot off.
