There are three candidates, for the Christchurch Mayoralty 1:—1 :— C. Allison, T. E. Taylor, and H. T. J. Thacker. There axe 32 candidates for Beats on the City Council. The latest move has been the formation of a Citizen's Municipal Association, apparently with the object of meeting the agitationi of the Labour Representation Committee. The new association has com© very late into the field as tb« labour organisations have been busy many weeks. M. J. Miller, has been elected Mayor of Lyttelton, M'Gregor Wright Mayor of Woolston, H. J. Mairriner Mayor of Sumner, R. Nylie atJvaiapoi; and E. ,R. Good at Rangiora. WAIROA, This Day. Mi-. J. Corkill, the retiring Mayor, ■was re-elected unopposed. There were nine nominations for the council, but on© has since retired, and there will be no election. WANGAN-UI, This Day«, Mr. C. E- Mackay has been re-elected: Mayor of Wanganui for the* sixth successive term. There are sixteen nominations for nine councillors, including four Labour representatives. There are eight nominations for six town seats on the Harbour Board. HASTINGS, This Day. J. Garneth, W. Lane, and T. J. Thompson were nominated for the position of Mayor, and there are fifteen candidates for nine seats on the council. G. S. Clapham, E. Lane, J. A. Miller, .and David Whyte were nominated for election as Hastings representative on the Napier Harbour Board. . MASTERTON, This Day. J. M. Coradino has been re-elected Mayor, unopposed. There are twelve nominations for nine seats on. the Borough Council. In addition ito those published last night, the following additional nominations are to hand :—: — Mount Eden— Mayoralty : 0.
