COMING ELECTIONS.
ME. JOHN FULLER AT BROOKLYN Mr. John Fuller, jun., held a very successful meeting at Brooklyn last evening. Owing to the room engaged proving too small, the candidate spoke in the 'open,^ for half an hour, and received an enthusiastic reception. Mr. Fuller said he would advocate, if elected, an extension of the' tram service, when the council received the benefit of the increased value of rentals by virtue of its city land endowments, as the success of any modern city -depended on its convenient and cheap transit of its suburban residents. He was strongly in favour of encouraging local industries where the price was within reasonable distance of that of the imported article. In reply to a question as to his /attitude regarding Sunday concerts, Mr. Fuller said that while he was totally opposed to Sunday theatres, he was content as regards the Sunday concerts, as conducted at present. But he liked his Sunday rest for himself and his employees.
