THE ASSAM MASSACRE.
■ OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT. By Telegraph.— Presa Association.-- Copyright.. CALCUTTA, Bth April. In connection with the massacre of Mr. No.el Williamson, a British political officer, and party, in Northern Assam, it is reported that Mr. William&on, Dr. Gregcrsoni, and 50 coolies were ascending the Dibong River, unarmed, and on friendly mission. They were suddenly attacked, and all massacred, excepting two of the natives. A force of 200 military and police have been despatched to the locality. The assailants were 1200 A bar savages.
