ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL.
x-it the meeting of th« Onslow Borough Council last night, there were present Councillors J. Lynneberg (deputy-mayor, in the chair), F. Kiernan, W. H. Bowden, G. W. Darvall, A. Ferguson, D. A. Bannister, C. Aplin, E. S. btafford, a-nd W. Plimmer. On the recommendation of the borough engineer, it was decided not to proceed with the question of improving the approach to the Ngaio railway Btation, pending the possibility of the Government doing something in the matter. Legal proceedings in connection with outstanding rates were deferred for a month. The amount outstanding is £211 Bs. The town clerk was instructed to authorise the ranger to take firm measures with owners of wandering cattle, the nuisance caA2£ed by such being a source of complaint. It was decided to approach the ratepayers of Khandallah in regard to raising a loan for a public hall for that district.
