A sheep-fjhearing contest for the championshio oi the world and a purse of £500 a^side, with a wager of £100 uside, took place between Zemmerle (Toowoomba) and Maurer (Glen lnaess). In two half-hours Zimmerle shore 32 and Maurer 28 sheep. The former was awarded 196 points and Maurer 17!9 points.
