The Russian steamer Stiirman foundered during a gale at Sebastopol, a Russian port on the Black Sea. Forty-one persons were drowned. [The Sturman was an iron screw steamer of 1142 tons gross, built in 1872, by Hanna, Donald, and Co., Paisley. She was owned by A. Pedaschenko.]
