[BY TELEGRAPH — PBESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, 30th January. ■At the second clay's racing in connection with the Takapuna Jockey Club's Summer Meeting the totalisator etaff was kept busy, the sum of £11,173 being handled, an increase of £3072 over the corresponding day of last year. Twenty-nine bookmakers were licensed at £12 10s each, to-day marking the last occasion on which bookmakers will be allowed to carry on their calling in the Dominion. The remaining results are as follow :—: — Second Pbny Handicap, of 80 soys ; four furlongs. — Red Lupin, 10.4 3 1 ; Mighty Atom, 9.1, 2; Peggy Pryde, 9.7, 3. Also started — Caedmon. Won by half a length. Time, 52see. Hobson Handicap, of 100 soys ; five furlongs and a half. — Tranquil, 8.2, 1 ; Goldsize, 6.11, 2; Condamine, 8.0, 3. Also started — Master Dix. Won nicely by a length and a half. Time, lmin 11 4-ssec. Rangitoto Handicap, of 100 soys; five .furlongs and a half. — Bogey, 7.1U, 1;, Miss Livonia, 8.2, 2; Master Jack, 8.1,3' Also started — Report, Dancing Paul, Miss Wairiki, Countree, Sir Walter, and Misere Ouvert. Won by a neck. Time, lmin llsec. Anniversary Handicap, of 100 soys; seven furlongs. — Sir Artegal, 3.7, 1 ; Sea Elf, 8.1, 2; Mistime 6.9, 3. Also started — Wauchope, Miss Winnie, Zinnia, Solus, Scotch, and Taka. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 30sec.
