LORD WINTERSTOKB. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, (Received January 30, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, 29th January. The death is announced of Lord Win\tersloke. [The deceased peer, who was a director of the Great Western Railway Corßpany and a member of several publio bodies at Bristol, was chairman of tho Imperial Tobacco Company, Ltd. Ho was born in 1830, and was raised to the peerage in 1905.] A ROYAL ACADEMICIAN. (Received January 30, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, 29th January. Mr. John M'Whirter, R.A., is dead. [Mr. M'Whirter, who studied ab Peebles at the Edinburgh School of Art, was elected an Associate of the Royal Scottish Academy' in 1864, and of the RoyaJ Academy in 1894. Scotch subjects and scenery were his favourite themes.]
