Bachelor of Laws. — Annie Lee Rees, M.A. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. — Patrick Augustine Ardagh, William Gillies Borrie, Robert Walter Edgar, David Eardley Fenwick, William Philip Johnson, Robert Bernard Pearson, Manson Herbert O'Callaghan, Herbert Donald Robertson, Hugh Lawrence ' Widdowsoo, Catherine Louisa Will, William Balfour Wishairt. On the recommendation of the medical faculty (Dunedin), the medical travelling scholarship, 1910, was awarded to William Philip Johnson. TO PREVENT MISUNDERSTANDING CHRISTCHURCH, 27th January. Regarding tie decision of the University Senate tliao pure mathematics should no longer be compulsory for the, B.A. degree, it may be pointed out, lest a misunderstanding should occur, that the Senate decided not to refer the resolution to the Statutes Committee. The effect is that the Senate has only affirmed the principle, and until further notice pure mathematics will stall continue to be compulsory for the B.A. degree.
