Shortly after 11 o'clock this morning a washhouse attached to a seven-room-ed dwellinghouse (No. 155) in Hansen-; street, occupied by Mr. Clarence Harris, and owned by Mr. William Anderson, was found to be on fire. The brigade was called out, and the flames were soon suppressed. Very little damage was done. "That the council by resolution recommend that, in the interests of the community of the Hutt Valley, the Hutt Valley Tramway Board should dissolve," was the text of a resolution carried by the Hutt Council last evening.
