At a meeting of the Institute of Civil Engineers papers were considered by Messrs. Haliigan and King, of the Works Department at Sydney, on bar harbours and sand movements, and by Mr. Russell Palmer on the Fremantle harbour works. An interesting discussion took place, in which the Hon. T. A. Coghlan, AgentGenoral for New South Wales, Mr. C. W. Darley, and other eminent engineers participated.
