TYPHOID.
DARGAVILLE, 25th January. Nine cases more of typhoid fever have developed 1 in the Maori settlements of Repia and Natunai since Saturday, five at the former and four at the latter. Dr. Makgill visited the camps to-day. The water at Repia is obtained from an artesian well, and the supply appears to be quite pure. It is thought that contagion is the result of kissing rather than 'of defective sanitation or water.
