King George has given £50 to the headquarters fund of the Boy Scouts. The Duke of Connaugh*.., who presided, at the annual dinner of the fund, stated that there were a hundred thousand scouts enrolled in Britain, and' the total numSer throughout the world was a., quarter of a million.
