THE VI CASE.
-"■ The- judges set' up by the Racing Con-Jarencer-Srr George Clifford, Mr. Hugo Sriedlander, and Mr. F. H. Pyne — sat this morning to deal with the Vi-Men-dip case and delivered the following judgmental — "In the matter of the appeal by nhe Dannevirke Racing Club against- the decision of the Hawkes Bay Metropolitan Committee reversing the decision of that ciub m awarding the stakes for the Dannevirke Handicap, t run on 16tE November, 1910, to the mare Vi, the .judges are of opinion that iheie w€i» no extraordinary circumstances under rule 13 Part 24 justifying the jockey, of Vi from, weighing in short of weight; 'and' they therefore dismiss the appeal. They order the deposit to be refunded." Th© stake therefore goes to Mendip.
