TURKEY'S INTERESTS. STATEMENT BY RIFAAT PASHA. NO ADVERSE INFLUENCES AT WORK.

In the Chamber of Deputies, Rii'aat Pasha, the Foreign Minister, referring to the recent pourparlers between the Kaiser and the Tsar at Potsdam, said he was convinced that the interests of Turkey in the Persian Gulf would not suffer. The Minister denied that pourparlers had taken place between Germany and Britain upon the Bagdad Railway question. Turkey had been assured that such pourparlers would only take place with her. There was the greatest cordiality in Anglo-Turkish relations. The Chamber approved the statement.
