Licht, oi Magdeburg, in his monthly circular, states that the production of beet sugar in Europe during the first four months of the 1910-11 campaign, which began on Ist Septem ber, shows an increase of 715,000 tons as compared with the previous compaign. JJnder the Harbours Amendment Act oflast session power is given a harbour board to vote its chairman an annual allowance not exceeding £200.
