FBI TELEGRAPH— SPECIAL TO THI POBT.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Local anglers report very unsatisfactory fishing as tho result of the last ■week-end excursions. A.t> tho Motukara, Halswell, the fish are said to be very scarce, and an angler who secured one fish as the result of five hours' fishing was considered rather lucky than otherwise. Reports from tho Ashley are not more encouraging, while the Waimakiriri has recently been discoloured and unfish-abl-e. It ls^said, however, that the trouL are be<jßhing to enter the Selwyn again, bub no information is available as to recent fishing in that stream.
