In., contrast to the rather boisterous condilions which prevailed on Saturday, there was scarcely a breath of wind at Trentham this afternoon, and once away from the shelter of the stands the heat .was almost* oppressive. By the time the second race came up for decision the attendance had grown to immense proportions, and probably equalled any former record.
