THE TALISMAN MINE. . Dr. Knight, who has just returned from a visit to the Talisman mine, informed • a Post reporter yesterday that the ventilation had been greatly , improved by the holing through the 15th rise from the 13th to the 12th level. The tube mills were now working most satisfactorily, and the new vat that had to be erected to deal with the, slimes was now almost completed. The board has authorised the purchase of new Ingersoll-Sergeant air compressors of great power. The restoration of the water-power plant was being satisfactorily proceeded wi^h, and would be in running order by the new year.
