The Quebec Nationalists declare they will defeat Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the Canadian Prime Minister, in his conj stituency at the next election. It is alleged that he rarely -visits his constituents. * LSir Wilfrid Laurier has represented Quebec East for a good many years. Last week in an, election for the Dominion Parliament, Mr. Gilbert (Nationalist) defeated Mr. Perrault (Liberal) for the Aithabaska district of Quebec. The campaign issue was whether there should be a Canadian navy. Tho FrenchCanadians opposed a navy. Sir W. Laurier carried gut a strenuous campaign, realising the growing power of the Nationalists in French Canada.]
