The red disk indicating a sale is affiied to quite a large number of the pictures. Up to last evening the following sales had been made: — "Morning Sunlight" (Pastel), H. Linley Richardson, R.8.A., £6 6s; "Colombo" (water colour), Owen Merton, £4 4s; "Moonlight, Venice" (pastel), R. Proctor, £6 6s ; "Springtime" (water colour), M. 0. Stoddart, £5 Ss ; "Australian Landscape" (water colour), Albert Hanson, £6 6s ; "The Gum Trees" (water colour) , M. O. Stoddart, £8 8s; "The Skylark" (water colour), Fanny E. Richardson, £2 15s; "After Rain" (oil colour), W. F. Barraud, £5 5s ; "Coast Scene, Riverton" (oil colour), £10 10s ; "Memories," a Maori portrait (oil colour), C. F. Goldie, £15 15s ; "Sophia" (o^l colour), same artist, £15 15s ; "Sketch" (oil colour), K. M. Handyside, £1 10s ; "Gorse and Tussock" (oil colour), C. H. Howarth, £6 6s ; "Ahinata" and "A Ngatiraukawa Joke" (both oils), C. F. Goldie, £12 12s each. Iv all £155 9s worth of pictures sold. In , addition silverware, hancH beaten by Alfred Atkinson, has been sold to the value of £7 8s 6d.
