The _ convention of the Young Men's Christian Association resumed its sittings this morning. Mr. J. J. Virgo presided. It was mentioned that, the memorial to Sir George Williams, founder of the iT.M.L'.A., was to take the shape of a big building in London, towards which the Australasian societies would contribute about £150. The action of the National Committee in making the appointment of Rev. J. H. Long to the missionary field in India »vas approved. An interesting paper was read by Mr. J. M'Farlane on the "Efficiency of Our Religious Work." He submitted that the V.M.C.A. was true to its ideals. He declared that while the church and everything else had been attacked from time to time, the V.M.C.A. had never been arraigned. Originally it was arranged to continue tho conference until noon on Friday, but owing to the speeding of the work, the conference will conclude this afternoon.
