LODGE MEETINGS.
The weekly session of the King's Coronation Lodge of Good Templars was held on Friday night. Bro. M. Morris, E.T., presided over a large attendance. One new member was initiated. To fill vacancies caused through resignations, Bros. Everett and Doim were elected and installed into positions of financial secretary and treasurer respectively. It was decided to visit the Johnsonville lodge on Tuesday night. A quoit competition was held, and it was most en]oyable. The next meeting is to be open night in charge of Bro. Biddle. Court Robin Hood, No. 4428, A.0.F., held its fortnightly meeting in St. Peter's Hall on Monday evening, Bro. T. Bailey, C. R., presiding. During the course of the meeting, the district officers paid their annual visit to the court. The D.C.R. was invited to take the chair. He gave a resume of the business of the district during the last twelve months, and the district secretary also spoke on the progress of the district. There was one new proposal to membership. Court Lady Glasgow, No. 8261, .A.0.F., held its usual fortnightly meeting on Monday evening, U.R. Sister Hanley presiding. The quarterly bal-ance-sheet, as read by the secretary, was received and adopted, it showing a very satisfactory position both as to funds and membership. Invitations were received and accepted to visit Court Primrose on 13th October, and Court "joyal Northland next lodge night. One candidate was initiated, and one was proposed for admission next court night. Court Sir William Jervois, A.0.F., held its fortnightly meeting .in St. Thomas's schoolroom, Newtown, last night, C.R. Bro. J. Goldie presiding. The past quarter's balance-sheet was read by the secretary, and adopted. After the court business was concluded, the secretary reminded members that the district officers would pay their official visit next court night. It was resolved that the court could not take part in the crib tourney against the Oddfellows on account of the tourney being on court night. The Pioneer Lodge, No. 11, 1.0. G.T., held its weekly session on Monday evening, Bro. Robert Reid, C.T., presiding over a large attendance. After the routine business was disposed of the lodge was declared open. The programme for the evpning was in charge of Sis. Harding, she being assisted by Sisters M. Hycle and O'Neil, Bros. Everitt, Newton, H'owitt.. and Mr. Hodges, Mrs. Allan and Bros. Israil and G. Petherick, and Messrs. Verne and Henry. At the next meeting there will be a debate on the subject. "Who exerts the greater influence, Man or Woman?"
