WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. The Management Committee of the Wellington. Cricket Association met at the Occidental Hotel last evening, those present being Messrs. M. F. Luckie (chairman), F. Laws, T. Bredie, V. B. Williams, C. C. Stevens, C. Hickey, Pearce, and Parton. It was decided to notify the Nelson Association 'that a Nelson- Wellington match would be played at Wellington between Christmas and New Year. An application by A. Topp, a resident in Wellington North, to he allowed to play for Johnsonville Cricket Club was fefused. It was-"resolved that J. V. Saunders, the association's professional coach, play for Victoria College during the present season. In view of the virtual inclusion of Petone in the Hutt district, the Hutt Club asked for a ruling as to whether Petone players should pay their subscriptions to the Hutt Club or to Petone Club. It was decided that Petone senior players should he> liable to the Hutt Club for their subscriptions; if a senior went to junior grade, it would be a matter for mutual arrangement as to which club should receive tha subscriptions. An application by Victoria College Club to have al' its third-class matches played at Victoria College- was not granted. * A sub-committee was appointed to draw up a scheme of coaching duties for J. V. Saunders. In the meantime the professional coach will be requested to coach from 5 p.m. till 6.30 p.m. to each of the senior clubs, in rotation, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and on Wednesday the. Wellington College Club. It was decided to commence the senior and junior grade competitions on Saturday next.
