EMIGRATION OF TOWN BOYS.

In connection with his appeal, cabled on 30th August, Mr. Thomas Sedg-' wick has complained to Mr. John Burns, President of the Local Government Board, that the Ceutiai Unemployed Body has declined to grant tha £600 required for passage-money unless they can control the selection of the boys. Mr. Sedgwick considers that such action would exclude provincial lads. It was reported on 30th August that Mr. Sedswick was appealing for £600 to inaugurate experimental emigration of town lads in accordance with New Zealand's promise of assisted ppssagep for fifty lads.
