DISTRICT NURSING GUILD.
The monlhly meeting of the committee of the District Nursing Guild of St. John was held yesterday. The report Kisbmitted by the senior district nurso showed that nineteen additional patients had been registered during September, nine were discharged, four sent to the General Hospital, one to the Convalescent Home, and theie had been three deaths. Tho committee acknowledge a subscrib-' tion of £2 2s from "Homeworkers, Khundallah" (per Mrs. Bakewell), and £1 Is fiom Mm. J. P. Luke. The president nnuounced that Lady Islington had fcignified her willingness to fill the vacancy of patroness created by the retirement of Lady Plunket. Gifts of old linen, etc.. were received from a number of ladies. The committee will be glad to receive iurlhci subscription;) to the "Emergency Fund," out of which comforts and medicine are provided for tho eick poor every month* " '
