ALLEGED ARSON.

About midnight on Saturday, as th« result of a complaint received at the Lambton-quay Police Station, two oontables wont to a stable owned by Mr. J. Lane, cab proprietor, in Grant-road, and found a man, whom they arrested. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., Cornelius Malouey was charged with wilfully setting fire to a stable situated in Grant-toad, on Saturday. Sub- Inspector Norwood asked that accused be remanded till Wednesday nelt, •and his Worship acceded.
