BOXING.

RUDD BEATS MITCHELL. The professional heavyweight boxing' championship of New Zealand was decided at Napier last evening, when W. Rudd, Wellington, put Mitchell, of Millerton, right out after 90 seconds' fighting. Rudd (who is an ex-amateur champion of Wellington province) got Mitchell into trouble with a right to the heart, and a following left hook, which dropped his man for five seconds. Then Rudd sent over a right cross, and the Millerton man was counted out. The winner is trained by Richards, Newtown Pastime Club.
