GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS.
AMATEUR FINAL. [BY TELEGRAPH— PHKSS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The golf championship meeting was continued at the Shirley links to-day. The weather was dull and rather cold, but not unfavourable. In the professionals match, J. M. Herd (Napier) beat J. A. Clements (Christchurch), 6 up and 5 to play. In the final of the amateur championship, 18 holes were played this morning, B. B. Wood being 2 up on the conclusion of the round. Both Wood and Lusk were playing in fine form.
