CIVIL CASES.
In the Magistrate's Court yesterday, judgment was entered for plaintiffs by default of defendant in the following cases: — Fred T. Bower'oank v. Albert Langkow, £5 4s 6d, costs £1 9s 6d ; Wellington City Council v. Roxannc Victoria Dibley, £10 9s 2d, costs 18s ; Stewart Timber, Glass, and Hardware Co., Ltd., v. Herbert Boggey, £11 13s Id, costs 20s ; Edward Joshua Riddiford v. George Hearfield, £6 6s, costs £1 6s 6d ; James Spicer and Sons v. Frank B. Knyvett, £30 65 Bd, costs £2 14s ; Empire Loan and Discount Co., Ltd., v. Frederick Fairbrother, £42 10s sd, costs ij'<i 14s ; Wellington School Commissioners v. Lewis William Wilson, £3 15s 6d, costs 12s; G. Hardt and Co., Ltd., v. John E. M'Lean, £10 7s lid, costs £1 10s 6d ; Frederick George Routh v. Australasian Sales Agency, £11 7s 6d, costs £1 10s 6d ; J. Levy Lennard v. William Stanley, £86 14s 7d, costs £4 13s. No orders were made in the following cases : — Gear Meat Company v. W. G. White, a claim for £3 7s 7d ; same v. Thomas William Macaulay, £5 3s 6d ; same v. William Low, £4 7s 6d. Charles Hansen, chef, claimed from R. YaiTow, restaurant proprietor, the sum of £1 10s, a claim for two days' wages at 45s a week and two day?.' wages in lieu of notice. Mr. A. H. Ca.«ey appeared for defendant. The claim arose out of pii alleged summary dismissal, but it was contended in defence that plain tiit had received warnings on three occasions. Judgment \va<* given for plaintiff for the amount claimed. W. J. Parsons claimed £15 18.* 6cl from John Rasniussen, balance alleged to be due on an account of £45 18s 6d for joinery work performed by plaintiff for defendant. For the defence it was submitted that certain of the work had not been done to satisfaction. His Worship gave judgment for plaintiff for the full amount claimed, with costs £6 3s. Mr. Machell appeared for plaintiff, and' Mr. V. Ti. Willis for defendant. ,
