At the show sheep sales the following were sold on account of New Zealand breeders :—: — British Breeds. — Lincolns : On account of Selby Brothers, Waiuku, three ram lambs averaged £4 12s sd, and thirtytwo flock rams ranged from 3sgns to 4gns. On account of Mr. Shakespear, Glendora, twenty flock rams made 2§gns to 4gn&. On account of Mr. Hocken, Waiuku, ten ram lambs brought 2§gns to 3igns. On account of Mr. Barriball, Waiuku, a stud ram made sfgns, and twenty flock rams 4^gns. On account of Mr. Douthwaite, five ram hoggets made 4gns. English Leicesters :On account of Messrs. R. and J. Reid, Darflbld, ten flock rams brought 3£gns. On account of Mr. Donald Grant, Winchester, twenty hoggets made 3|gns. On account of Mr. Nixon, Killinchy, thirty-five ram lambs made 4^gns. On account of Mr. Sowden, of Dunsandel, twenty flock ram lambs made 3£gns to 4igns. On account of Mr. Grant, Elloughton Grange, two rams made 9gns and llgns respectively, two special hoggets 9gns and lOgns) and thirty hoggets 4gns to 4igns. Border Leicesters : On account of Mr. Grant, Elloughton Grange, fifty hoggets made 4igns to sgns. On account of Mr Donald Grant, twenty-one hoggets made 4£gns. On account of Mr Douthwaite, Waimate, twenty-eight hoggets brought 4^gns. On account of Mr. Nixon, Killinchy, fifteen ram hoggets made 4gns to 4£gns, and forty-five ewe hoggets 2£gns to 3gns. On account of Mr. Ensor, of Ashby, a Corriedale ram brought 6gns. A BIG PRICE FOR A RAM. SYDNEY, sth July. The merino ram Patron 11. , from Gibson's Bellevue flock, Tasmania, sold for 800gns. He took second prize to Sylvander at the late show.
