COUNTER DEMONSTRATIONS. PROCEEDINGS PASS OFF PEACEFULLY. Bj Telegraph.— Pres» Association.— Copyright. (Received July 5, 11 a.m.) MADRID, 4th July. An orderly anti-clerical demonstration took place in Madrid. It was participated in by 70,000 Republicans and Socialists. There were similar demonstrations in other towns. Two .smaller Catholic meetings were held simultaneously. The proceedings passed off peacefully.
