Tho preliminary bouts resulted as follow : — Feather-weights. — A. Lang (Dunedin) beat R. Baill (Invercargill), M. Leckie (Dunedin) beat J. Thompson gill)-Welter-weights.— O. G. Miller (Dunedin), a bye. Heavy-weights. — F. M, Maloney (Dunedin) beat W. M'Chesney (lirvercar gill). Middle-weigjats. — Cooper (Dunedin) beat Glesson (Dunedui), Matthewson (Dunedin) beat Gillan (Dunedin). Light-weighte. — A. Farquharson (Dunedin) beat J. H. Finnerty (Dunedin), H. W. Winter. (Dunedin) beat P. Maloney.
