Trouble reported with tho deep-water Cier of the new Hutt River traffic ridge still continues. The water, inktead of being eight fc^t deep where the pier it to be erected, lias been found to bo fully twice at deep. A coffer dam hat been built to keen out the water, but the water is still coming through. Mr. Burke, the contractor, hat consulted with Mr. Morton, the City Engineer, and menus are being contrived to solve the cningeeiing problem. It ia understood on pood authority that the difficulties will not in future be so great as was anticipated.
