MONEY MARKET. The Bank of England rate of discount remains at 4 per cent., to which it was raised on 17th March. A year ago the rutc was 2} per cent. Tho open market rate of discount for best throe months bills is 1-16 lower, at 3 13-16 per cont. A year ago it was 1J per cont. Short loaiis are i lower, at 5% per cent. A year ago tho price was 1 per cent The. open market rate for threo months bills in Paris is unchanged, nt 2i per cunt., whilo in Berlin it is | lowor, at 3 per cent. COLONIAL AND OTHER PRODUCE. Wheat.— Tho markets are stoady, with a fair business, and some Continental enquiry. A cargo of Australian and 12,000 quarters (96,000 bushels) sold at 39s 6d per quarter. Holder-, aro asking 39s^ 6d per sailor, April shipment, 39s 3d rebruary shipment, parcels afloat. Thero is a small rotail demand for Australian on spot. Thero is nothing doing in New Zealand wheat, which is quoted at 35s to 36s 6d c.i.f, April-May stoamei. Floui.— There is nothing doing. Snot supplies aro exhausted. Sales at Glasgow, Slav shipmont, at 29s 9d landed. Oats. — There is a poor demand, and prices aro about unchanged. A quulity, Cartons, at 18s 3d to 18a 9d 0.i.f., April shipment; La Plata, April-May ohipnieiit, 14s 3d. Butter is very nrn<, nnd there is excellent demand.
