POST AND TELEGRAPH RIFLES.

The annual meeting of tho Poet and Telegraph Rifles was held last ovening. Subsequently the member* assembled in tho Oddfellows' Hall to enjoy a smoke concert. Captain Harton occupied the chair. Several toasts were honoured, and tho following contributed to -the musical portion of the entertainment: — Sergeants Williamson and Hamilton, Corporal Wollprtnan, and Messrs. Gamble and Porteoup, Newton and Frasor Thompson. Captain Harton presented tho prizes — tho company's champion bo't and Hallenstein Cup to Lieutenant Bolton (Lieutenant Bolton ha« now won both three times at intervals, thus winning; the cup outright) ; Coulls, Culling and Co.'s trophy to Hon.
