THE HENRY-POTTS MISSION.

- ♦ Tho United Mission, for which the large Town Hall lias bern taken from 10th to 28th Apiil, begins tomorrow. Dr. J. Q. A. Henry is described as one of tho most eloquent American pteachcis. Ho is known on both sides of the Atlantic as a great social and religious force. His mission is supported by tho Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, and Congregational Churches, by the Church of Christ, the Salvation Army, V.M.C.A., nnd the Central Mission. A united choir has been formed, and Mr. C. A. Potts, a Chicago singer, will conduct. Mr. Potts is a soloist of much repute, and will sing at every meeting. Alexander's new hymn-book, containing the freshest old and new revival hymns, will be used. Fitchett Brothers, of Melbourne, have sent an agent across, and hymn-books can be bought at the doors. On Sunday thero will be two mass meetings ; one at three, and one at 8.30. On subsequent Sundays, the afternoon , gatherings will be for men only. On tho first Sunday it will bo open to everyone. The 8.30 meeting is an after-church rally, as Dr. Henry is anxious not to interfere with church attendance. The bands cf the Salvation Army and of the Central Mission will play &3lections on the way to the hall. I'ho week night meetings will commence at 8 o'clock, and will be all held in the large Town Hall. Dr. Henry proposes to sneak to the workers of Wellington, at the Queen's Statue, at 12.10 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, if the weather permits. A meeting is to be held at tho railway shops at Petono on Friday, and other features will be advertised from time to time.
