Strike-paid agitators are persuading the naval refervfet* to make a grievance out of the retention of a few dozen Laecars in the service of various shipping companies, according to an agreement under which shipowners arc entitled to include aliens to the extent of one-quarter of each crew. ' The Maritime Court at Marseilles sentenced ten stokers to ten days' imprisonment for leaving their ship. Accused 6tated that they left upon their union's orders, fearing personal violence.
