The United States railways have reduced the grain freights from Fort William (Ontario) to the sea, -with, the object of capturing the Canadian grain ; trade. The Grand Trunk Railway has also reduced its rates, and will now ask that the Great Lakes' freights and Atlantic freights bo similarly Teduced in order fchat the Canadian rate from Fort William to Liverpool' shall e^ual tixe American.
