IMMUNITY FROM INFECTIOUS DISEASES.

A NEW LIQUID. Bj Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. PARIS, sth April. Di . Doyen, the noted Parisian surgeon, announces that he has discovered "phagedenous colloids," which form the basis of a new liquid called mycolysine, which has conferred immunity against the majority of infectious diseases, notably those of tho respiratory and digestivo organs and the skin. It acts by increasing the activity of the phagocytes. [Dr. Doyen has claimed to nave discovered the microbe of cancer ; also a serum which will cure the disease. According to the doctor, the only way to counteract cancer is to establish an antiinfectious condition by means of progressive vaccination with the toxines and dead cells of micrococcus neoforinans, which promote tho absorbent action of tho beneficent phagocytes. As the rosult of this treatment, several ca&ea of cancer of the breast have, it is said, been almost completely cured. Cures have been effected in cases previously consicrered desperate — sarcoma, cancer of the mouth and intestines, and other part* of the body.]
